Privacy Policy
Settling Abroad may collect limited personal information that readers choose to provide directly, such as email inquiries. Like most websites, it may also use standard analytics, cookies, and server logs to understand traffic patterns and improve site performance.
The site currently uses Google Analytics 4 to measure overall traffic patterns, popular pages, rough geography, device usage, and other basic engagement trends. That means Google may set cookies or use similar technologies to help report how the site is being used.
If readers prefer, they can limit cookie tracking through their browser settings, privacy tools, or Google’s own opt-out controls. Choosing to block analytics cookies may affect how completely visits are measured, but it does not prevent normal reading of the site.
Some pages may eventually include third-party tools, embedded content, or affiliate links. Those third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies, so readers should review those policies when interacting with outside services.
Information is not sold for casual marketing purposes. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the site secure, but no website can guarantee absolute security.
Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
Email newsletter and checklist forms
When you request the First 90 Days Abroad checklist or subscribe to Settling Abroad emails, we collect the email address you provide, optional first name, optional destination interest, optional planning stage, source page, consent timestamp, and basic anti-abuse metadata. We use this information to send the checklist, manage biweekly Settling Abroad newsletter emails, understand which pages are producing signups, and maintain consent records.
Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Settling Abroad is preparing to use MailerLite as the email service provider for list management, consent records, unsubscribe handling, and newsletter delivery. Until that connection is active, checklist requests are stored in WordPress for export/sync and removal requests can be sent by replying to a Settling Abroad email.
